Welcome to Justice Law Media

It’s been a year since this project began, and this space has become something clearer and more grounded than when it started. My initial idea has grown into a place for slower, more deliberate engagement with justice, law, and the ways media shapes public understanding.

The past twelve months have been about building the foundation — as well as the site itself — and taking the time to research the stories that challenge the noise of mainstream commentary.

The next phase will build on that work. Several interviews and long-form articles are already under way, and the focus now is on bringing more voices, context, and thought provoking analysis to the conversations.

I don’t send email blasts, so please bookmark the site and check back for updates.

Thanks for being here, and for following along as this project continues to take shape.

Here are some future features I’m currently working on:

Australia has a slave history

Australia’s Slave History

Australia has a history of slavery that most Australians aren't even aware of. The Blackbirding trade that saw some 62,500 Pacific Islanders trafficked from the eighty islands of Vanuatu and the Solomons established Australia's sugar, maritime, pastoral, cotton and railways industries.

Story coming soon.
The Julian Assange case - Today in court, the US government admitted that there is not a single person anywhere that they could produce that was actually harmed by these publications

The Assange case and the law – what I studied versus what I saw

As a law student following the Julian Assange case, I saw a stark contrast between what I studied and how the law was applied in practice. Watching what appeared to be punishment by process raised questions about the integrity of the legal system and some serious concerns about the outcome of the case.

Its on its way.
Imaginary hobgoblins and profits of doom

Imaginary hobgoblins and the profits of doom

Coming soon to a warming planet near you. A horror story of climate and catastrophe–a tale of spooky spin, monstrous misinformation, where every heatwave is the end of days. Beware the evil Pumpkin Head… he stalks the gullible with data of destruction, and a fossil-fuelled grin. But the real monsters aren’t imaginary…

...and they’re coming soon.
The Con

The Con

We put our experts on pedestals, assuming their wisdom is beyond question. But expertise is often confined to a very narrow slice of knowledge and doesn’t always reflect actual intelligence. This raises the simple question – should we really be trusting experts as implicitly as we do?

...working on it now.
